Tom Ford “Fake” Tweet Shakes Up Trump Supporters

Twitter users awoke this morning to find Tom Ford trending for all the right reasons. The fashion powerhouse’s refusal to dress a certain “glorified escort” has Trump supporters in his mentions ready to fight.

Shouting “BOYCOTT!” from the Walmart clearance section, Trump supporters have taken aim at Tom Ford for his refusal to clothe First Lady Melania Trump. Having allegedly said “I have no interest in dressing a glorified escort who steals speeches and has bad taste in men,” Tom Ford just made his way onto their burn list. There’s just one problem — he may not have actually said those words.

The uproar has come from the resurfacing of an out-of-context quote from 2016 article by The Washington Post. Still, The MAGAts™ are threatening to destroy their Tom Ford pieces as if they could afford the expensive brand in the first place. Pieces for his women’s ready-to-wear line begin at $520 and end at $58,900 and men’s items begin at $65 (for underwear) and end at $11,990. So it’s unlikely anyone will be giving Tom Ford the Nike treatment.

The MAGAt uproar hasn’t kept anyone from getting laughs at their expense.

“We Don’t Feel Safe”: Fort Worth Residents Demand Change Following Atatiana Jefferson’s Murder

“If you were awarded $150,000, would any of that money go to maybe retraining officers how to not pull triggers?” Citizens of Fort Worth, Texas arrived at the first city council meeting following the shooting of Atatiana Jefferson to demand change. The 28-year old Black woman was gunned down in her home by Fort Worth Police Officer Aaron Dean while caring for her 8-year old nephew.

Concerned residents are determined to have their voices heard and demand action from sitting officials. During the first city council meeting to take place since Atatiana’s death, Fort Worth City Hall was filled to capacity with residents looking for answers. Despite City officials conducting typical business before hearing residents speak, their outraged calls to action were not received. Meeting attendees who attempted to discuss their misgivings were escorted out by City Marshals. With fears of weak sentencing stoked by the outcome of Amber Guyger’s trial, protests have ensued in what one official calls a “Black state of emergency.”

Declaring the Dallas/Fort Worth area to be in a “Black state of emergency”, McKinney Councilman La’Shadion Shemwell has asked prospective Black travelers to refrain from visiting. Monday, LaShadion shared that Black and brown lives are in danger by visiting and he “cannot sit idly by” as war continues on Fort Worth’s citizens. Mayor George Fuller called the narrative dangerous. However, he still allowed Shemwell to read his proclamation which calls out the pattern and practice of discriminatory policing.

Cuba Gooding Jr Accused by 14 Women of Sexual Abuse

After being accused of misdemeanor sex abuse stemming from a reckless night at a Manhattan night club, Cuba Gooding Jr is facing 12 additional accusations of misconduct. The once reputable actor has entered his not guilty plea and will face fourteen women who claim they’ve experienced abuse at his hands.

Tuesday, Cuba Gooding Jr appeared in a Manhattan Supreme Court to answer for charges from an incident that occurred in June. A woman approached the NYPD after being groped by Gooding Jr on the dancefloor. Her call to action led the NYPD to open an investigation which has resulted in prosecutors indicting the actor on four misdemeanor counts. Prosecutors have evidence that Cuba Gooding Jr. has assaulted 12 additional women and plan to bring each complainant in to prove the actor’s malicious intent.

Despite the severity of the charges, Cuba Gooding Jr appeared to be unphased during the proceedings. The actor responded to the accusations in court with a confident not guilty plea and was then released to his legal team. Yet, a questionable statement made by his representation stood out for it’s comparisons to accusations waged against Presidential candidate and former VP Joe Biden. Referencing a handsy encounter with a fellow politician, the attorney Mark Jay Heller said the following:

“This indictment constitutes a distorted overreaction pandering to the current hypersensitive climate where innocent common-place gestures are now misperceived and mischaracterized as offensive as exemplified by the incredible condemnation of former Vice President Joseph Biden, who innocently touched a woman’s shoulder.”

As they exited the courthouse, fans expressed their support and reporters attempted to get a statement. However, Gooding Jr. and his lawyer refused to respond to any inquiries.
