FINALLY, we get Part 4 of the season 9 reunion for Real Housewives of Atlanta and its revealed that the major key to the date rape drug allegations that were made against Kandi and Todd this season, was none other than Porsha’s bestie, The Southern Belle, attorney at law herself. Oh, Phaedra, honey, these kinds of stunts could get you in a world of trouble, legally, yet you stooped this low anyway?? Exactly, where did The Southern Belle graduate law school? As often as Phaedra likes to remind us of how many degrees she has, one can’t help but wonder if she’s obtained at least one of her degrees from the school of Stunt Queens. Ma’am, no one should have to explain to an officer of the court just how life-altering rape allegations are; the ramifications of such charges can rob a person of any and everything they hold dear, whether accused and proven innocent or convicted of the charges made against them.

Was the breakdown of Phaedra and Kandi’s friendship so taxing on Phaedra that the only way to get passed it was to start up a smear campaign toward Kandi? I’m sorry but, Phaedra is portraying an image of herself that reads more along the lines of a scorned lover than that of an ex-friend. It makes you wonder if there was anything more than friendship between the two of them. It also draws a connection into what may have attracted her and Apollo to one another in the beginning; two birds of the same scandalous ass feather.

Did Kandi and Todd shut down all access to the sex dungeon and that’s why you’re really mad? I don’t know about you but, I get the notion that there’s something juicy that remains hush-hush between Kandi and Phaedra. Phaedra reiterated on the reunion that she believes she did love Kandi more than her husband, Apollo. Now, immediately, it does sound far-fetched for someone to hold their best friend on the higher emotional ground than their own spouse. It definitely raises some questions about the dynamic of that particular friendship. Tell us what we don’t know!! It may lead us, directly, to whatever it truly is that, shamelessly, fueled Phaedra into using her latest BFF, Porsha, as a pawn in her anti-Kandi charades. I can’t say I feel incredibly empathetic towards Porsha for being played in this situation because of girl, come on…

You had reasons upon reasons why you should’ve kept your eyes wide open, sis. All the warning signs were there! The bells, whistles, and horns were going off and she just kept it pushing! Giving Phaedra the endless (unworthy) benefit of the doubt wasn’t even mistake number on Porsha’s list. Despite being cautioned by long-time friend Shamea, cast mates from the show AND seeing Phaedra’s highly questionable antics play out on the show; it still never clicked in Porsha’s mind that maybe, just maybe, she should always keep her antennas up when it comes to Phaedra.

Porsha has made it so easy for us as the viewers to believe she really isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. But, Phaedra Parks, Esquire was also foolish enough to allow herself to be caught red-handed in her mountain of lies. She failed to back up her bestie and take accountability for being the source from which this lie originated. Instead, she opted to imply that Porsha was lying and she merely ‘repeated’ what she’d heard about Kandi and Todd allegedly planning to drug Porsha and take her home to feast on. Now, Porsha breaks out the cry face, with very few, if any, actual tears in sight, begging Phaedra to fall on her own sword. Phaedra gave us something more along the lines of, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Which is awful if Porsha’s version of their conversation is true, it puts their entire Frick & Frack-ship in a rocky place.

Did Phaedra ever really see a friend in Porsha or was this an elaborate plot designed to take vengeful aim at Kandi? If you recall in the earlier seasons how unflattering Phaedra spoke of Porsha’s level of intelligence; it can definitely be assumed that, in this instance, Phaedra took on the position of being the smarter, more cunning person in this manufactured friendship. Believing that Porsha is so dense that she could manipulate her in any way she saw fit; create an environment of comfort and comradery between them so that Porsha would never see the deceit until it was too late, if ever.

So, what’s next for Phaedra and Porsha? As of right now, Phaedra’s contract has not been renewed for Season 10 of Real Housewives of Atlanta; who will fill that void for Porsha next season if their “friendship” doesn’t survive taking a blow this strong? Real friends have fall outs every day, normally, when two people understand one another and have a genuine bond, they’re able to experience ups and downs throughout the friendship and still recover from them. Of course, depending on the severity of their issues but, in this case with these ladies…there are still too many questions and not enough answers. I’ll definitely be tuning in for Season 10 of the Atlanta Housewives, I’m interested in seeing what Bravo will deliver after this. Season 9 was a bit lackluster for me and the 4-part reunion was unnecessary in my opinion. 2 parts would’ve gotten us there and back just fine but, I’m not on Andy Cohen’s payroll so, lol you got it Bravo!
