R. Kelly Petitions Judge to Silence Ex-Wife Drea Kelly

mm

on

Kelly is furious that Drea has been sharing the bitter details of their marriage and wants to shut her up. According to legal documents, Drea is violating a marital settlement agreement that established she wouldn’t divulge any marriage secrets.

Back in 2009, R. Kelly’s legal team filed the motion to keep Drea Kelly from speaking out. But following the premiere and success of the shocking LifeTime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, Drea has been more vocal than ever. Now she is fighting back against R. Kelly’s recent attempt to keep her from sharing any additional information.

According to the documents, they both agreed to keep “any account of their private lives, business activities, relationship with each other, marriage or circumstances surrounding the dissolution” under wraps. Because Drea has been making the rounds, sharing her abuser’s secrets, R. Kelly’s attorney Steven Greenburg has been set to the task of re-establishing her silence.

Greenburg is implying that because R. Kelly is holding up his end of the agreement and refraining from sharing any details about Drea, she should maintain secrecy as well. Speaking directly about her recent involvement with the Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta series, Greenburg is demanding she stops “blasting R. Kelly publicly.”

R. Kelly Wants No Press

During a recent clip of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta, Drea listed a series of abuses she endured. She recounted her experience of being hogtied, having both of her shoulders dislocated, and other physical acts of violence like slapping and being pushed. The series filmed episodes featuring Drea Kelly and Buku Abi, R Kelly’s estranged daughter, during a time when his antics filled the press. But according to Andrea Kelly’s lawyer, she’s in the clear.

Despite Greenburg’s claim that R. Kelly has not discussed the details of his marriage, Drea’s attorney Alison Motta says Kelly has repeatedly violated the agreement over numerous years. Commenting on the overall lack of privacy in their marriage, Motta said, “There is nothing that’s confidential anymore.” She continued, “He’s just trying to punish her for forcing him to comply with his financial obligations. It’s just another attempt to punish and control her, this time from afar.”

Lawyers for R. Kelly are suggesting that Drea be jailed and fined for the violation. The next hearing for the case is set for July 10th.

Wendy Williams Addressed ‘Fartgate’ … A Little Too Much

Published

on

“The lady doth protest too much,” or whatever Shakespeare said…

On Thursday daytime television host Wendy Williams addressed “Fartgate,” and many think she went overboard in her denial.

The controversy began when Williams was accused of passing gas on her show. Delivering her daily “Hot Topics” segment, viewers noticed a sound familiar to us all: the sound of a fart. The clip went viral with internet dubbing the moment “Fartgate.”

On her show Wendy, Williams, 55, finally spoke on the whole debacle. In an outrageous and bizarre claim, she told the audience she barely farts at all saying, “gas gets released several different ways, and mine is benching because all I do is talk.” She then went on to play the infamous clip and explain she leaned over to release pressure on her spine and that she would have laughed if she really did pass gas as she is accused of doing. “By the sound of that fart, I would have had to go change my costume! I would have left a mark in the seat. I wouldn’t even save the costume, I would have throw it away. It’d probably be soiled beyond soiled-tivity.”

As if that wasn’t enough, the talk show host then brought out a crewmember to explain the source of the flatulent sound: preparation for the upcoming science-related segment on that day’s show. The entirety of her strange explanation is below (about 10 and a half minutes into the video).

Now Wendy, we all fart, it’s human nature, but your response was way too much to convince us that you didn’t rip one on air. It wouldn’t have been a problem if you did. Remember a few years back when Whoopi Goldberg loudly cleared the air on her show The View? She owned it saying, “excuse me, I think I just blew a little frog outta there!” And we all loved her more for it.

Have you heard the fart in question? If you haven’t we have it for you here.

What is Dolby Atmos Music

Dolby Atmos lets listeners connect with music at its fullest capacity and creative potential – not the way most people hear music today, but a version that pulls you into a song to reveal what was lost with traditional recordings. Listeners can discover hidden details and subtleties with unparalleled clarity. Whether it’s a complex harmony of instruments placed around a listener, the unleashing of a legendary guitar solo, a massive bass drop that washes over you, or the subtle breath a singer takes, Dolby Atmos gives music more space and the freedom to unleash every detail and emotion as the artist intended.

How to experience Dolby Atmos Music on TIDAL

To enjoy Dolby Atmos Music, TIDAL will automatically default to this experience if a Dolby Atmos mix is available. Tracks will be identified by a “Dolby logo” visual badge as well as through a “Dolby Atmos” identifier that will display once a song is selected. Users can also click on the “Dolby Atmos” menu option under the “Explore” tab on the TIDAL app to explore the library of tracks available in Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos is now available to TIDAL members subscribing to the HiFi tier, which already features HiFi and Master quality audio. To learn more about Dolby Atmos Music or TIDAL HiFi, visit Music.Dolby.com and TIDAL.com/DolbyAtmos.

TIDAL members with compatible Android smartphones and tablets subscribing to TIDAL HiFi can enjoy Championships along with a growing library of music available in Dolby Atmos from Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. The includes songs from some of the world’s biggest artists such as The Weeknd, Blondie, Ariana Grande and more. TIDAL is also working closely with its artist-owners, including JAY-Z, to mix their catalogs in Dolby Atmos – which are expected to become available in 2020.
