“I Don’t Cheat To Win I Rather Lose”, Serena Speaks Out Against US Open Penalities

Yesterday was the final match in the tennis U.S. Open between the Queen of Grand Slams, Serena Williams, and her competitor Naomi Osaka. I’m sure people we’re expecting a fair match between these two black women however the umpire who was watching over the game had something else in mind.

Naomi was giddy to be playing against her Idol Serena in the finals on Saturday as shown with this message to her in a interview where she said, “I Love You.”

Everything was going well during the final match until the umpire issued the first penalty against Serena. Carlos Ramos, the umpire that started the drama, issued Serena a penalty because of what seems like Serena’s coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, was coaching her while he was moving his hands.

Ramos issued the first penalty which immediately infuriated Serena who said to him, “You owe Me an Apology. I have never cheated in my life, I have a daughter for what’s and I stand what’s right for her.”

Here’s more footage of Serena talking to Ramos about how he misinterpreted her coach’s hand gesture as coach Serena to do certain plays against Osaka but he seems to be unfazed from his earlier decision.

Serena tried to explain to the umpire how that she wasn’t cheating and why she didn’t deserve the penalty she was given but Ramos didn’t see the need to remove it from that portion of the match.

Ramos gave Serena her second penalty after she broke her racket on the court out of frustration.

Serena’s final penalty came after Serena was penalized for arguing with the umpire for his previous penalties that she was issued for earlier as a “code violation”.

Serena accused Ramos of stealing a point from her because of the previous penalties she was given which prevented her from scoring a point. It escalated to the point where Serena was talking with the referee about the umpire choice to give her a point was sexist because the men have done much worse than her and often aren’t penalized.

In her argument she said, “There are men out her who do a lot worse than me. But Because I’m a woman you’re going to take this away from me. That is Not Right.”

The finals ended with Naomi Osaka being the first Haitian-Japenese woman to win the US Open and also being the youngest at 20 years old winning the Grand Slam title.

During the Award Ceremony the crowd was booing in disappointment that Serena did not obtain her 24th Grand Slam title 1 year after giving birth to her daughter. However she stopped them from their jeers and wanted them to appreciate Osaka winning her title. Although you could tell from her eyes and facial expressions that she was still shaken up from what happened earlier in the match.

Here’s what Serena had to say after the award Serena was finished in a interview with reporters.

On twitter there were tweets calling out the sexism, misogynoir, and racism that was being perpetrated from some news companies that called Serena’s passionate out burst a meltdown in their news headlines.

Tennis legend Billie Jean King commented on the events that happened calling for the double standards that women have to endure that men usually don’t have to think about.

Billie Jean King has written a in depth analysis piece on her perspective of the match and the double standards and abuse of power that took place during the match.

The drama doesn’t end there because Serena’s outburst with the umpire will cost her a $17,000 fine. There’s a lot of conversations that can be said from what happened yesterday from the Grand Slam Finals but I will finish it off with this.

Congratulations to Naomi Osaka for her 1st Grand Slam victory. And as for Serena Queen of the Grand Slams, Slayer of Sexism, Misogynoir, and Racism you’ll get your chance at a 24th Grand Slam soon.

Amber Rose: “I Tried Selling Crack”

Amber Rose Van Lathan

In a shocking admission, Amber Rose opened up to Van Lathan on his podcast, ‘The Red Pill‘. Sharing a story she’s never told anyone, Amber said she tried selling crack to support her family.

Celebs oftentimes have backgrounds as troubled as their fans. We’ve grown accustomed to hearing stories about rappers who sold drugs to support their children or women who turned to exotic dancing at night to pay the bills. But it’s rare that a woman admits she did both. Opening up to Van Lathan, Amber Rose said to make ends meet in her teens, she sold drugs, but local dealers quickly shut it down.

“I tried selling drugs — I tried selling crack in my neighborhood, and they were like ‘No’.”

Saying that she was too pretty and would be an easy target for robbery, Amber found herself off the corner and in the kitchen. She said, “I would weigh it and I would bag up the crack rocks for them.” They paid her for work, but it turned out to not be enough. After seeing a woman in a nice vehicle with a designer bag, Amber made the decision to go into stripping. Just 15 at the time, Amber said she had to do what was necessary to provide for her family after her parents divorce.

While Amber was reluctant to share her past because she thought it would be a sob story, she made a valid point. Male rappers are glorified for dealing drugs, but she will face a double standard. Amber’s drug-dealing past is far behind her now. Later in the interview she shared that Instagram makes her a cute coin, something to the tune of $2 million per year.

50 Cent to Teairra Mari: “Where is my money?!”

Emerging victorious from the revenge porn lawsuit filed against him in May 2018, 50 Cent is wasting no time collecting his debt. Posting multiple photos to Instagram, Fiddy says Teairra better get him his money.

If there is one person you never want to de indebted to, it’s 50 Cent. He has been relentless in his pursuit of payment since winning his lawsuit 4 days ago. Filed in May 2018, Teairra Mari alleged 50 Cent was responsible for the leak of her racy photos and videos. However, a Los Angeles judge dismissed all claims against 50 Cent and ordered Teairra to pay $30,618. Originally, Fiddy demanded $161,550 to cover all legal expenses, but the judge declined, awarding him less than half of the requested amount.

Fiddy’s involvement in the case was questionable by all accounts. At the time, Teairra was dating Akbar Abdul-Ahad, a friend of 50. When she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her, she broke up with him. Shortly after, she saw images and video of herself on Akbar’s Instagram. 50 reposted the images, which Teairra says were uploaded “clearly to humiliate me”. During a press conference, Teairra alongside her representation, Lisa Bloom, released an emotional statement and announced they were pursuing legal action against 50. To counter her claims, Akbar posted audio clips of Teairra allegedly discussing the case, stating Fiddy was targeted for his friendship with her ex.

Now, 50 has taken to IG to get his laughs at Teairra’s expense. His heckling includes captions like, “Now Teairra you can cough up the money or 🧐 you can go with R. Kelly and sh*t in a bucket. LOL”.

In his recent jab, he says Teairra “better catch a date” to run him his coin.

“Not On My Watch” Iyanla Criticizes R Kelly, His Team

Iyanla Vanzant on Sway in the morning

Iyanla Vanzant has added herself to the growing number of public figures denouncing R. Kelly and his controversy. During an interview with Sway, Iyanla admitted the singer came to her for help and she declined.

Proving some things are too much even for her, Iyanla told Sway during his morning show that R. Kelly reached out for her services. However, the Fix My Life life coach says R. Kelly “didn’t have…the emotional capacity. Just didn’t have it. And I know, based on what I was looking at — the paces that I would have to take him through — it would have been brutal.”

While she recognizes that R. Kelly is in dire need of mental health care, Iyanla doesn’t agree that he deserves prison. Suggesting incarceration is not the answer, Iyanla said the following on Twitter:

While I do not condone the behavior that has been shown by R. Kelly, it is important that we as a society understand that it represents a symptom of a bigger problem, which is that we do not honor, value, or protect our children.”

Referencing the admission by R. Kelly and supported by his brother Carey’s corroboration, Iyanla thinks of R. Kelly as a damaged boy who grew to become a damaged man. “I would never ever condone, or justify anything that he’s been accused of doing. but locking him up in jail? It’s not the answer… He’s sick… Just like the people he allegedly committed these acts with — they’re sick. This needs to be massive healing — them, him, all of them.”

Iyanla then said that the team surrounding R. Kelly is catching more heat from her than Kelly himself.

“The ones who gave the notes to the high school girls, the ones who sat around the studio knowing there was a bedroom in the middle of the recording studio. The ones who knew those girls were in there, the ones who didn’t care enough about him to hire a tutor to teach him how to read. I have issue with that…as well as with what he did.”

As Lady Gaga, and now Celine Dion, have stepped forward to condemn R. Kelly and remove their collaborative songs from streaming services, Kanye West has come forward…but not in the way you think. During a strange rant in front of a Black choir singing spirituals, Kanye took a moment between their songs to share his opinion. stating:

“They want art from the artist, but anytime they do anything erratic, they just gonna pull up the full documentaries on him. And then, they gonna come with the Michael documentary.”

While the excerpt seen earlier was alarming, Kim Kardashian has taken to Twitter to clear any suspicions that Kanye was referring to R. Kelly.

Kim Kardashian West has since released the full video for context on Kanye’s comments, adding:

“I want to make it very clear, he is not condoning anyone’s actions or unacceptable disgusting behavior. My husband’s words are being taken out of context due to timing.”

Let me be clear: jail is the answer for all of them. Put R. Kelly under the jail with his White Walker brother, Bruce, and call it a damn day. Let the people that helped R. Kelly face justice as well. We are not equipped, at this moment, for alternative justice that includes sipping green tea and sitting in a prayer circle. That’s just my take.
