Apryl Jones Claims Rappers and Ballers Stay Chasing Her Cat

Published
5 months agoon
Apryl Jones is taking her Hot Girl Summer antics a little too far. The former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star appeared inebriated during a raunchy Instagram Live rant from Mother’s Day that recently leaked. Outing celebs who wanted to slide into more than just her DMs, Apryl’s list of lovers has everyone talking.
Lately, Apryl Jones has been enjoying the single life. Following her split from Omarion of B2K, she’s hardly been tied to one man. But recently, she went public with the budding relationship between her and Lil Fizz, who shares a child with another former LHHH castmate, Moniece Slaughter. Months ago, Moniece backhandedly outed Apryl for the “Girl Code” violation, stating she knew her former friend and Fizz had been intimate for months. Now, it seems not only was everything Moniece shared true, but Apryl busted down more than just her ex’s bandmate.
Appearing to be under the influence, Apryl name dropped several former flames that are still hitting her up. Starting with a rapper many women claim is for everybody, Apryl said The Game sent her a text message that, in so many words, implied he wanted to get a taste. She then listed several men that wanted her attention. Former NBA players Nate Robinson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Durant, and Shaquille O’Neal have all slid into her DMs along with Instagram Comedian Shiggy Show.
Apryl’s tirade may cause some problems for Nate Robinson and Paul Pierce, as both men have been married for quite some time. Nate shares three children with Sheena Felitz. Paul wed Julie Pierce in 2010 and they share three children as well. Apryl also claims A$AP Rocky has been trying to smash but insists that just because her DMs are full doesn’t mean her bed has been. In the video, she later contradicts herself by saying “This p*ssy is on sale to 20 n*ggas! And guess what? Checks, checks, checks, checks!” Somebody take her phone!
This video has surfaced while Omarion and Apryl are in a heated battle for custody of their son and daughter. Omarion served papers to his one-time fiance on Mother’s Day 2018. Their relationship declined rather sharply and many blame his mother’s disapproval of her for the split. Still, this video puts things into perspective for those who wondered what Apryl was truly like. Let’s hope they can’t use it in court.

What a Viral Twitter Thread Can Teach Us About Love and Trauma

December 5, 2019
After a chance meeting with a New York legend, Chaédria LaBouvier, the Guggenheim Museum’s first black female curator, promised herself if she experienced another special encounter on New York’s MTA bus service, she would live-tweet it for the world. Probably sooner than she expected, she found herself giving her followers a play-by-play of a man and woman discussing their relationship, its problems, and how they can solve them.
According to LaBouvier, everything began with the man telling his girlfriend, “I love you and I want to make this work but you’re mean AS FUCK and it’s wearing me down.” Her tweets then went on to describe the man explaining that she doesn’t know how to communicate her concerns in a healthy and productive way with him and pleading with her to seek help from a mental health professional.
The woman acknowledges not only his concerns but also her own frustration with her actions and her reservations about therapy. “’I know I don’t communicate my feelings…I didn’t grow up with that and I had to teach myself… what if therapy doesn’t work for me? What if I’m just angry?’”
Oooff. Overhearing this relationship in trouble on the shuttle bus and the guy just told the girl, “I love you and I want to make us work but you’re mean AS FUCK and it’s wearing me down.”
— No Quarter Will Be Given (@chaedria) December 1, 2019
She’s just looking at him like she knows he’s right but doesn’t know what to do about it.
LADY PLEASE GO TO THERAPY SO YOU CAN KEEP THIS MAN IN A GORGEOUS TWEED COAT WHO LOVES YOU
— No Quarter Will Be Given (@chaedria) December 1, 2019
I want them to get through this
Her: “Therapy just makes me feel like I’m failing all of the time and you don’t…I know I don’t communicate my feelings…I didn’t grow up with that and I had to teach myself. I know I go off, believe me. I just… what if therapy won’t work for me? What if i’m just angry.”
— No Quarter Will Be Given (@chaedria) December 1, 2019
To some, LaBouvier’s tweets hearkened back to the problematic “#PlaneBae” incident in which a comedian’s live-tweets of flirtatious meet-cute between two fellow passengers on her flight from New York to Dallas included photos of the unsuspecting pair. Many, though, are hailing the unidentified MTA man’s devotion to his relationship and LaBouvier’s (@chaedria on Twitter) account as a beautiful example of love, commitment, patience, and compromise.
I’m armoring up for a bad relationship talk tonight. This thread has reminded me to bring a little less armor and a little more consideration. Thank you, and them, for the reminder.

He sounds like he has done a lot of the work he is hoping to convince her to go through. He is expressing needs, setting boundaries, and withholding judgment in a way few could manage without some coaching.
— Andrew Langmead (@alangmead) December 2, 2019
I love the hope in this.
— Stephen Black (@stephenablack) December 2, 2019
They’ve already gotten through a lot:
1) Acknowledging the problem
2) Taking responsibility
3) Wanting to change
4) Accepting therapy
All that’s left, and it’s a big one, is doing the hard work in therapy.
I wish them the best. Thanks for sharing ❤️
In the exchange, the man affirms his girlfriend’s feelings about her anger and recognizes how difficult it can be to change learned behaviors, especially when the raw emotion of a lover’s quarrel come into play. Often times, couples fail to acknowledge the impact of their actions while focusing on the recipient, but both participants here succeed in validating the other and showing empathy for one another at the same time. “’I want a better YOU not someone else… would it help you if I went with you [to therapy]? I’ll ask my mom if she has any recommendations,’” the man offers
However, what he likely doesn’t understand is that just any old “therapy” isn’t always the answer. Our MTA heroine arguably needs a trauma therapist specializing in PTSD – post-traumatic stress disorder – as evidenced by her brief detail of her childhood experience and the shame she feels every night. By her own admission she continually tries to correct her behavior yet fails, and a trauma specialist could not only better understand her situation, but also potentially reduce the pain she feels, slow the frequency of her “blackouts,” and address any other side effects.
When thinking of the traumas that can affect any of us, it’s important to remember that what scars us individually may not scar us collectively. Whatever she experienced may not be immediately understandable or accessible to us (or her boyfriend whose race remains a mystery while LaBouvier identifies her as a woman of color), but it still grieves her daily. Imagine breaking a limb – you may get a cast and lollipop at the hospital, but that pain still remains until the injury is fully healed. Equally, that pain still affects our interactions with other others. All human interaction is dependent on our relationships and when our feelings are hurt, those relationships are thrown into chaos until the injury is healed or at least back in a working state.
This couple’s relationship may not be perfect, but their willingness to work together through their weaknesses is a sign all love is not lost. While therapy is not a cure-all, the right therapy can heal a lot of injuries.
Check out the full thread on the flip and let us know what you think. Can therapy help their relationship? Do you have a personal experience you’d like to share?

A Complete Timeline of the Gabrielle Union-America’s Got Talent Saga
Published
1 week agoon
December 2, 2019
In late November it was revealed that actress Gabrielle Union had been fired from her spot as a judge on the NBC show America’s Got Talent, but troubling reports of her exit have caused everyone from Janelle Monae to Howard Stern to weigh in on the controversy. Here’s a complete timeline of everything we know.
November 22, 2019 – Variety Magazine announces NBC will not renew Union’s contract
In addition to Union’s exit, it is revealed fellow judge Julianne Hough will also not be returning to the popular television show. Male judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Terry Crews all expected to remain on the roster.

November 24, 2019 – News of ‘toxic culture’ at AGT hits the internet
Sources with direct knowledge of the culture at AGT describe the now-infamous joke that put Union at odds with show producers. During a guest appearance, comedian Jay Leno joked that a picture of Simon Cowell with his dogs reminded him of something “on the menu at a Korean restaurant.” The actress learned of the joke and explained to producers this joke would not be well-received particularly by Asian crewmembers and viewers. She reportedly urged producers and an unnamed NBC executive to scrap the offensive joke and report it to the network’s human resources department. The line was ultimately thrown out, but a formal report or complaint was never filed with HR.

Further reports emerged describing Union and Hough receiving “excessive notes” on their appearance, with Union in particular getting regularly coached on her hairstyles being “too black.”
November 26, 2019 – Julianne Hough and NBC deny allegations
Julianne Hough released a statement claiming she “loved working with the cast, crew, and producers and the claims are not “accurate to her experience.” She goes on to say “I am happy continuing my working relationship with NBC.”
The network echoed her statement with a vehement denial of all allegations.
November 28, 2019 – Celebrities show support for Union
As the news of NBC’s culture made its waves, celebrities voiced their support for Union. Stars like Janelle Monae, Ellen Pompeo, and democratic presidential hopeful Julián Castro, among many, voiced their opinions on the matter in favor of the ousted actress.
It’s unfortunate that @nbc the same network that protected disgusting men like Matt Lauer and punished women for speaking out or not putting up with it…has not changed their practices or culture. I support @itsgabrielleu commitment to speaking up to injustice. It takes courage
— Ellen Pompeo (@EllenPompeo) November 28, 2019
Love you & oh so thankful for you @itsgabrielleu 🙏🏾💪🏾👊🏾 https://t.co/e8vqtNSDQY
— Janelle Monáe, Cindi (@JanelleMonae) November 28, 2019
December 1, 2019 – Jay Leno speaks out, NBC releases new statement
The comedian at the center of the alleged racist joke spoke of nothing but his fondness of Union. “I love Gabrielle Union, she’s a great girl. I really enjoyed working with her.” When asked whether he uttered the joke on the NBC show, he refused to answer.
For its part, NBC released a new statement vowing commitment to “ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees.” The network also stated it is working with the actress’ representatives to hear her concerns and address them as necessary.

December 2, 2019 – Howard Stern gives his two cents
To add fuel to Union’s fire, Stern made very choice comments on his show seemingly backing up Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough and trashing Simon Cowell. “He sets it up so that the men stay. No matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are… He constantly replaces the hot chicks with hotter chicks and younger chicks.”
Phew! That was a lot to keep up with and somehow we have a feeling this drama isn’t over yet. Only time will tell how steep the fallout will be. What do you think about all this? Give us your thoughts below.

Porsha Williams Re-Engaged to Cheating Baby Dad Dennis McKinley
Published

December 2, 2019
Porsha Williams, of Real Housewives of Atlanta fame, announced she and fiancé Dennis McKinley are re-engaged. Since season 12 of the long-running show began, we have seen Porsha struggle with her relationship with the father of her 8-month-old daughter, Pilar after it was revealed he cheated on her while she was pregnant.
“We are re-engaged… we’re working on our family,” Williams told Andy Cohen on his show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I love him and he loves me.” When asked about a date for the wedding, Williams admitted they hadn’t yet settled on one, but that it would be “sometime next year.”
With the news hitting the internet almost as quickly as the words came out her mouth, many netizens promptly roasted the RHOA star for taking back a man who disrespected her so callously.
Dennis is gonna keep on cheating on Porsha with the whole farm chile #RHOA

Porsha really giving all that body to Dennis. what a tragedy.
— meredith blake; (@beerude__) December 2, 2019
When Porsha’s back in the same situation next season, I won’t feel bad cause she’s clearly learned nothing. Dennis cheated while you were pregnant and you get re-engaged 5mo later? Why? What’s the rush?! Be 2gether, but that man ain’t ready for a ring #RHOA 🙄🤦🏽♀️
— KBK (@DatSameEnergy) December 2, 2019
While Porsha and Dennis may still be mending their relationship and rebuilding the trust she lost in him, her announcement on the show of Housewives and Bravo (the network airing Real Housewives of Atlanta) left many wondering if they were witnessing a Porsha Williams reality show plotline in the making. Loni Love, comedian and co-host on television show The Real first posited this idea back in November famously telling her co-hosts, “Porsha trying to get that reality show.” Check out her comments below.
Many dismissed the idea of Williams leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta for her own show, but the news of her re-engagement has left many wondering if Loni was right all along. Let us know what you all think down below. Did Porsha take Dennis back to set up a juicy plot for a solo reality show, or is keeping her family together all that’s on her mind?
